Thinh Nguyen

Artist

Thinh Nguyen was born in Vietnam, where he spent most of his childhood. Growing up in a small village in Bao An province, he never thought that someday he would become an artist. At a very young age, he would pick up sticks and tree branches to draw on the ground. But he was discouraged from following his passion in art. Fortunately for Nguyen, at the age of eleven, he and his family immigrated to the United States. Moving to California gave Nguyen an open environment where his artistic passions flourished. Nguyen is currently living and working as an artist in Los Angeles. His work has been exhibited throughout Southern California.

Nguyen's unique style, utilizing sticks, bottles, yarn, and finger painting in place of traditional brushes, brings an advanced technique to artistic creativity. He is influenced by the beauty and simplicity of nature. Rather than imitating nature, he depicts moments of intense emotion. Through this process, he is able to capture authentic expression.
