VAALA Studio as a Gallery  

VAALA Studio is a multi-purpose room.  We would like to add a much needed aspect to this room: an art gallery!  We have dreamt to have the space as an art gallery, but a great deal of remodeling is needed. We are fortunate to have Giano Architectural Designs draw a wonderful new floor plan.  However, we will need the generous financial support of countless individuals for this remodeling project.   Please stay tuned for more news on our fundraising campaign for the art gallery!

The goals of VAALA Studio:

• Showcase art, ranging from visual art to live performance art
• Serve as a place to socially convene and exchange ideas
• Provide a dynamic space to spark and facilitate creativity within both emerging and established Vietnamese-American artists
• Forge new relationships with other ethnic communities
• Promote the Vietnamese-American arts community
• Exist as a common ground for creative programming such as:
• Special screenings
• Creative workshops and classes
• Special topic seminars and forums
• Poetry/spoken word events
• Focus groups
• Community meetings
• Product-oriented promotions (books, music, etc.)
