Tran Mong Tu

Tran Mong Tu came to United States in 1975 where she settled in Seattle with her family. She is a frequent contributor of poems and short stories to Vietnamese various literary publications in America and overseas. She also writes children’s short stories for The Times. Some of her works have been translated into English and appeared in American high school textbooks. She won First Prize in the commentary category of The New California Media (NCM) Awards, dubbed “the Ethnic Pulitzers” on November 2003.

She was Editor-in-Chief for Phu Nu Gia Dinh Nguoi Viet in California (2002-2005) and is currently working part-time for Public Heath of King County in Seattle.

 Tu has published: Tho Tran Mong Tu (poetry -1990), Cau Chuyen Cua La Phong (short stories -1994), De Em Lam Gio (poetry -1996), Co Rom va Nhung Truyen Ngan Khac

(short stories -1999) and Ngon Nen Muon Mang (poetry -2005).
