- VAALA proudly co-sponsors Thomas' Apartment Rock Concert Tour (6/2007) - Vaala proudly co-sponsored Thomas' Apartment Rock Concert Tour that took place in seven-cities across the U.S.
- BIG SAIGON Presents: Ninja and Friends (7/2007) - Big Saigon held a follow up to the highly successful 'Big Saigon by Night.' The much anticipated took place at the very intimate Café Thuy Duong (7631 Westminster Blvd #C, Westminster CA, 92683) and fundraised for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF).
- VAALA STUDIO - Khai giảng khóa Hè 2007 (3 tháng): Lớp Nghệ Thuật, lớp Violin, và lớp Thanh Nhạc
- LA Premiere of Owl and the Sparrow (6/2007): The award-winning Owl and the Sparrow (Cú và Chim Se Sẻ), starring Cat Ly (Journey from the Fall), Le The Lu (Buffalo Boy), and Pham Thi Han, directed by Stephane Gauger, is coming to LA Film Festival ! Owl Executive Producers are Timothy Linh Bui (Green Dragon) and Ham Tran (Journey from the Fall).
LA Film Festival ran from Thursday June 21 – Sunday July 1, 2007 in Westwood Village. OWL's After-Party was co-sponsored by Giant Robot and VAALA.
- Cinema Symposium 3 (4/2006): Presented by VietNamese Language and Culture (VNLC) in collaboration with VAALA, continues this vibrant biennial tradition featuring some of the most prominent Asian American professionals in the film industry. Cinema Symposium 3 will take place on Sunday April 23, 2006 in Haines Hall 39, UCLA.
- Finding Home (5/2006):Curated by Tram Le and directed by Uyen Huynh (Club O? Noodles), uncovers the stories and experiences of first-generation Vietnamese Americans ages 50 years and above. FINDING HOME is comprised of a 15-week workshop which culminates in a performance on Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 3:00-5:30pm followed immediately by a reception from 5:30-7:00pm at the CSUF Grand Central Art Theater, Santa Ana. The performance is open to the public and free of charge. Seating is limited
- F.O.B: A Multi-Art Show (9/2002): a two-week long multi-art show featuring 40 young (under 40 years old) Vietnamese-American artists, and incorporating all major mediums of visual and performing arts. The exhibit explores the topic of labeling and how that affects the artists' sense of identity. The accessibility of the exhibit raised community awareness of identity issues, and further exposed the community to numerous art forms not often covered in the popular media. Overall attendance during the three weekends were approximately 1000 to 2000. Attendance during the weekdays is unknown.
- Cinema Symposium at UCLA (4/2002), a panel discussion and movie showcase of prominent Vietnamese-American film directors and actors from southern California, co-organized with UCLA's Vietnamese Language & Culture Program (VNLC). This event provided an opportunity for the younger Vietnamese generation to learn more about the film industry, as well as for the Vietnamese-American filmmakers to meet and to receive feedback from the community. The event was extensively covered by the press, from the Orange County Register to Radio France Internationale in Paris, France. Estimated attendance was about 400 to 600.
- Little Saigon Book Fair I (8/2001), a three-week event showcasing prominent Vietnamese-American writers, books, and publishers, culminated with the Summer Music Festival. The event was co-organized with other leading media companies in the Vietnamese community such as the Internet service providers Kicon Inc., World Wide Viet, and the art gallery Mimi Studio. There were approximately 10,000-20,000 attendances during the entire book fair.
- Dang Thai Son, a World Chopin Competition winner, piano recital at La Mirada Performing Arts Theatre (2/2001) drew an attendance of about 1,000.
- Project 20, a nation-wide series of art exhibitions, literary symposiums, and musical performances which was organized to commemorate the 20th anniversary (1975-1995) of the Vietnamese refugees' arrival in the U.S., culminating with Le Van Khoa's Symphonic Suite "1975," performed by the Pacific Symphony Institute Orchestra at the Orange County Performing Arts Center
