Throughout the years, the Vietnamese Arts and Letters Association (VAALA) has published several books. We no longer sell these books online. They may only be available to purchase at selected events by VAALA.

Nghệ Thuật Tạo Hình Việt Nam Hiện Đại (2008) by Huỳnh Hữu Ủy - Written in Vietnamese, the book spans from the dawn of the Vietnamese visual art with the establishment of Ecole des Beax-Arts de l’Indochine, depicting the pioneers such as Bùi Xuân Phái, Nguyễn Gia Trí and Tô Ngọc Vân to the blossoming of a new generation of Vietnamese diasporic artists in the early 1990s.

The Forgotten Ones (2005) – a photographic documentation of the last Vietnamese boat people in the Philippines by Brian Doan.
Tuyển Tập Lê Đình Điểu (2001) – a collection of essays, articles, poems and transcripts of radio programs, by and about Lê Đình Điểu (1939-1999), VAALA’s co-founder, journalist and community activist.
Trần Đại Lộc – Photography (1998) – a collection of photography by Trần Đại Lộc (1942-1997) and articles about him written by his friends.
Tuyển Tập Tranh Thái Tuấn (1997) – a collection of Thái Tuấn’s paintings and essays by his friends, colleagues and art critics.
Hùng Sử Ca (1996) – a collection of 18 partiotic Vietnamese songs, with music and lyrics, by famous composers such as Hoàng Quý, Hùng Lân, Hoàng Thi Thơ, etc.
